Frequently Asked Questions
It depends on your pool. Pool organisers can choose one of two modes for handling missed deadlines: carry-over mode (the default) or smart autofill mode (opt-in).
In carry-over mode, your country and player picks from the previous round are automatically carried forward to this round, even if the country or player has since been eliminated from the tournament. Your match predictions are left blank, so you don't score any match points for the round.
In smart autofill mode, your country and player picks are carried forward where the country or player is still in the tournament. If a pick has been eliminated, the system replaces it with the highest-scoring still-competing country (and then player, after countries) that you haven't already picked for this round — but only if you have transfers remaining in your budget. Replacements consume transfers just like any other pick change. If you have no transfers left, the eliminated pick is kept (and won't score). Match predictions are filled in using your most recent prior predicted goal count for each country playing — defaulting to 0 goals if you've never predicted that country before.
In both modes:
- Autofill doesn't apply to Round A or to anyone with no prior round of picks — there's nothing to carry forward in either case.
- If autofill runs for you, you'll receive an email summary explaining what was filled in.
- Autofilled picks are marked with a small "auto" badge so you can tell them apart from picks you made yourself.
- 2 points for getting the exact score correct (based on the 90-minute result only).
- 1 point for getting the right outcome (win/draw) but the wrong score.
- 0 points for a wrong outcome.
- Results — match scores round by round, including 90-minute results and any extra time or penalties.
- Standings — group tables showing each team's record, points, and goal difference across the group stage.
- Bracket — the full knockout draw from the Round of 32 to the Final, updated as results come in.
